Go read the “front seven” thread and statements like “7 more points and USM would have been 7-1 and in the championship game”.

I really don't understand how this statement of fact triggers so many on here. Southern Miss went 6-5 last year with one of the youngest teams in the nation. We were 7 points away from finishing 9-2 and hosting the CUSA championship. We lost an OOC game to La Monroe 21-20. We lost by 3 at Charlotte and we lost by 3 at UAB (CUSA Champ) in OT. If we win those games then Southern Miss is hosting the CUSA championship and a chance for 10+ wins. It's that simple. Facts don't care about feelings.

The reason why players/fans are so confident is because we return nearly every starter from last years team (85% production returns). I can't understand why this statement gets so many other people's panties in a wad.
