I’ll speak for myself and Charlotte and say sure we could finish less than .500. You say that if all breaks right, we go 5-7.
I say if all breaks right, we can win as many as eight games. We won five last season and don’t lose nearly as much personnel as much as ODU, Middle, FAU, who we beat UMASS, who we lost to.

We added UTEP to the schedule and play a pasty FCS team.

I was told on this board last year we’d win two games, I was told on this board that USM and FAU would drag us.

The Atlantic pre season 130 is telling me that Charlotte is playing 4 teams plus Gardner Webb who are ranked lower than us with Middle being just two places ahead.
PFF is telling me that Charlotte is playing against five sub 100 qb’s (plus Gardner Webb).
The CUSA coaches tell me have the best running back in the conference, and the best kicker. The national media tell me we have two olinemen up for award, a DL on the senior bowl watch team.

But you tell me that you don’t see wins on the schedule.....


This is easily the best team Charlotte has fielded, and it may not show up in the win loss column, but this team, can compete (with the exception of Clemson) with everyone they step on the field with.

You sound pretty confident and reasonable. How confident are you in your QB play?

Qb play will b fairly pedestrian, like it was last season, in which we won five games. I think most of our opponents won’t have an play and better and won’t have a better run game.

As for the kicker, the coaches said that, not me. I’m fairly certain FAU folks would agree with the coaches.

Yeah, I get it. But you're gonna need better QB play if you want to make that jump. We'll see. You have the ingredients for a solid team.

However, the other teams you are looking to jump (WKU, FAU and the like) have also improved.
