Cignetti:
“Offense had too many big plays from a defensive perspective. Too many long runs. We’ve got to stop the run. If you can’t stop the run, you’re not going to win many games.”

About Fr RB Douglas & Fr DL Jalen Green:
“I don’t see either of those guys redshirting.”

Hasn’t made a decision on QB yet but said Dinucci has taken majority of 1st team reps in camp.
Said CJ has improved:
“He’s a lot better runner than he’s given credit for being. He’s an excellent down-the-field thrower. He throws the intermediate and deep ball extremely well. He makes good decision and he does not get flustered. And he’s done a really nice job in the 2-minute drills when he’s had those opportunities and I have 100 percent confidence in him.”

Yeah, saw that and was surprised that the O got the better of the D, esp,. w/ some long runs

Just a shooting from the hip guess:
Improved play from O-line
Thin depth at DT
Our tackling machine, Holloway, didn't play.

Another possibility : guys like Percy, CJ and Douglas are hitting gaps and too fast to catch once they break thru. Hope this is the case, and the RBs put on a show this year. Would take some pressure off the QB position.
