DJ or Boogie to the bench. Lock in Baugh and Lester as starters. Baugh is lockdown on D, has a huge frame, shooting looks solid and even looks surprisingly confident with the ball. Both Bahamian guards were decent 4-year D1 players and Baugh had them shook.

DJ ain’t going to the bench. Has been steady and close to leading scorer every game. Was 14/10/3 today. I suspect Boogie will do better starting and who knows what the deal is in Penny getting him from Duke. But Baugh can play just as many or more minutes as backup at 1-3 slots. He has played driven this tournament. I want to see his sustain this against good competition over a period of time.

He was 12/8/6 today. Boogie 5/7/3 But only 2-11 from field. He and Tyler had a couple of tough shooting games. Tyler was good today tho 19/1/3. Usually doesn’t give you much other than shooting. Lester 17/5/1, Lomax 5/2/2/5 steals. FIBA Stats.

I agree that perimeter D was the worst part of our game so far.

Numbers are fine but i also watched the games.. DJ looked good against that level of talent but almost all of his work was inside against teams low on post talent and even then he struggled a bit finishing against the national team. He didnt show much perimeter game so unless he is beating out Precious at the 4 its hard to see him as a full time 3 in collegefrom Day 1. I would bet starters are Boogie/Baugh/Lester/Precious/Wiseman and still say if DJ starts early in the season its Boogie losing the most minutes.

Could be wrong though - maybe Penny wants to play jumbo lineups.

Throw recruiting rankings out the window at this point - unless something very different is happening in practice (and word is Baugh is also killing it in practice) cant imagine Baugh not getting 25+ mins per game.

DJ did hit an open 3 today. He did some good things but the whole team missed about 10 layups.

He had 10 rebounds and 3 assists vs our toughest competition yet (not saying much). It would be great to get 6-7 rebounds from 3 spot for his limited minutes (as everyone’s will be for a couple of months).
