Yeah sometimes "Wiseman" doesn't take the time to read posts closely and he didn't really reply to your post.

But he did say in his post that he doesn't fell it toughens them mentally...Which I agree with...You are not going to get mentally tougher winning by 50.

Of course not mentally tougher but the mental focus it takes not to play street ball or continue to slide your feet or to play the right way regardless of score are benefits you can't get just practicing against your own squad.

You're so right, Rolex. Of course, how much they get out of this depends on the coaches takes and ability to teach using this moment. I hope our coaches don't think like "Wiseman" is thinking. Plenty can come from this week.

Here are Penny's and IM comments from yesterday via the CA

Even when Bahamas Select got to full strength, it was like Memphis was competing against itself. That's how the Tigers viewed it, at least.

"(Penny Hardaway) emphasized that we were playing against ourselves more than we're playing against them," said Isaiah Maurice, who scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds. "Even if the competition isn't to where it's our level, we just go out there and focusing on dominating and sticking to our principles regardless of what the score is."

Hardaway's evaluation of the 75-point cakewalk?

"Our rotations were better. Our halfcourt defense that we go over every time we practice was much better," he said. "Weakside was better. Everything we talked about that we didn't do yesterday we did much better today."

There you go. We are in great hands. When I coached, I kept a list of things to work on when we were up big and another list of things to work on when we were down and out. Your mindset has to be to improve every day. That's true if you're Tulane and that's true if you're Duke. There is always an opportunity to get better.
