I don't know man... I can appreciate Georgia State trying to pick up a quality stadium, but that place is not designed for football, has odd sight-lines, and is just way too big. You guys averaged about 16.6K last season, and I think spent about $53 million on Turner Field. If you had the space on campus, I think you'd have been better off just spending the $53 million on building an actual football stadium on campus. I know you guys are in downtown Atlanta, so space could be hard to come by, but there had to be a better solution. The Georgia State Stadium layout just doesn't work for me.
Lol. No. If you have been there then you would realize there are no so called odd sightines. That's a made up fallacy. The sight Lines are basically mostly the same as when it was the Olympic Stadium. The place is awesome and will get better when we finish the east side. If someone hands you a quarter of a billion dollar pro stadium with all suites and office space included you take it.

I don't need to visit to see that the end zone seats face the home field sideline, or that there is an odd gap between the visitor's sideline and the half of an upper bowl. The setup is just weird looking. The place was a quality MLB ballpark, and I'm sure it has some nice office space, but it just isn't an optimal setup for football. Personally, I don't like colleges playing in NFL stadiums. I think those venues lack a college game day atmosphere. Playing in an old MLB stadium seems even worse to me. But, I'm glad you like it.

Again, I'd have spent the $53 million building an on campus college stadium, if there is room.

$53M isn’t going to get much these days.

Georgia State only averaged 16.5K a game. Back in 2014ish, they probably could have built a 20K stadium for $53 million.
