But this is Ft. Collins we are talking about here and they might feel more of a pull toward the XII/AAC.
Just looked up the enrollment statistics, they bring in about 300-400 kids from California every year, 150-200 from Texas, and around 100 from Illinois. The rest send only single or double digit amounts their way. I imagine they want to keep things local, since they pull in about 5000 students per year and not many of them are from outside of Colorado. If I was running CSU it'd be Big XII or bust. It's not worth giving up those games with Air Force and Wyoming unless you can bring Texas and Oklahoma to town.

You may be right.

But that TV deal with ABC/CBS games is in a different league than what the MWC is going to sign. MWC has sputtered since BYU/Utah/TCU all left and that could be a factor.
