Yeah their football is losing money, but so are their money sports (men and womens bball). Do we really think going to the BE is going to reverse the combined $6 million they lost on basketball? Especially considering the TV contract is actually less than the AAC's per year

Now that Ollie got whacked by the NCAA, UConn can lower the deficit in mens BB by simple eliminiating his go away pay. If Ollie sues, UConn should sue him for damages when he looses to recoup any legal fees. For the sake of saving any money he has, he should just go away to the NBA as an assistant for the 3 years he is "read between the lines" banned from college BB. 03-shhhh 03-shhhh 04-cheers

Yes because no way will Ollie sue the NCAA just like the coach in Cali did and win or show the arbitrary nature of the NCAA using say Louisville and Petrino or any of the current coaches exposed under the FBI investigation. I'm also sure that with the UConn people having their stuff together so well that there won't be any electronic evidence showing A the administration was aware and B they used it as an excuse because they don't want to fulfill the contract.

I would say it's a coin flip on who wins that case but does accurately show how poor the leadership is at UConn. An alum, a national championship coach, bad publicity, legal fees and they are still likely to have to pay. Instead of you know, settling it with a lower pay off that Ollie probably would have took and ride off into the sunset.
