The NCAA will not allow you to have a D1 FB program in one conference, and a D1 men's BB program in a different conference per NCAA regs. NCAA regs explicitly prevent exactly the kinds of things that are being discussed, so its impossible. We need to be proactive and surgical - bring in the stronger teams from the rest of the G5s, dump the weakest teams, and form the first 16 team super-conference, and elbow your way into the P5. Solidify your position of power first by taking all the good teams now, and getting contracts locked into place.

I guarantee you, the first year we produce more revenue than any one of the P5s, the landscape will shift, seismically. We'll have more top teams to compete and take bowl slots, and NCAABb positions. all of this puts us in a better position to succeed, and takes a spot away from a P5 team. I see this as an opportunity for a strategic surgical strike.
