The short-term goal, as I understand it, is to A) try and appease people who pine for the CAA days and rivalries and B) play a competitive schedule that is cost-effective. I'm not keen on Va Wesleyan, but I understand the value it brings under these unusual circumstances. I wouldn't know where to begin scheduling a CBB season and I doubt there's anyone else on here that knows or has experience in that regard. But ignorance is bliss.

Seems like ODU could have gotten Norfolk State, Hampton, Radford, Longwood, UMES, or some other nearby Division 1 school on the schedule instead of VA Wesleyan.
