From what I recall, Capel's recruiting went south when Jason chose UNC. Numerous stories of Jeff sitting in high recruit's homes and being told "Why should my kid go to ODU when it isn't good enough for your kid?"
Hard question to answer when your pitch is we're building something big in ORF, and "my son always wanted to play at Carolina" doesn't cut it.
