They aren't implications. The first 2 words were "my guess". Last year it was Reece who didn't want to redshirt and got a wasted year. My guess is the guy could be the 2nd coming of Shaq and JJ wouldn't have let him play more than 5 minutes all season because he couldn't be talked into redshirting. He should have played 0 minutes whether he agreed to redshirt or not. Still could have suited up, warmed up, and sat on the bench... just never put him in. Then he wouldn't have wasted a year.

If my hunch is correct, it is indeed pretty petty stuff. He's a scholarship player in our weakest position getting far less minutes than our walk ons that play positions where we have depth. Even Sam, Larsen, and Janko got minutes. It's possible this guy is worse than all of them, but not probable. If nothing else, he could have either given him zero minutes or if he just isn't very good let him play more garbage time. Instead, he let him burn a redshirt for 4 minutes of experience. Just a total waste of a year and a scholarship. If he tweaked his knee or there is some other reason for this, someone needs to feed something to Baghdad Bob (Harry Minium) to feed us that information otherwise JJ just looks like an a-hole.

Only one a-hole here -- and it ain't JJ.

One of these days maybe you'll man up and tell us the origin of your beef with ODU.
