A lot of us are concerned about it but without a full size practice field nearby (just a lack of flat real estate on campus) they’ve decided to leave wide sidelines to maximize them as practice space.

Also digging down and lowering the field isn’t a cost effective option for bringing the stands in closer. The field sits on solid bedrock and would be way too expensive to blast out.


I always thought they should’ve shifted the field 15 yards toward the west sideline (the north end zone is the one under construction) then re-build and re-grade the crumbling east side lower level to match. But now that the NEZ facility and SEZ video board are in place that’s just not going to happen.

That makes sense. I didn't think of how difficult it may be to dig down 4-5ft there.
It definitely makes it much harder. Are there any plans for you guys to get an indoor facility or more practice fields?

We have an indoor already so I am not sure why we need more practice space than the field but it is definitely nearly impossible to dig down enough to bring the stands closer.
