Of those options, the American by far but it is also the least realistic.

I assume the ASUN above would continue with us being independent in football which would be my second choice. If not, I would rather be in the C-USA conference.

I'm not a Notre Dame type of independence at all costs but I think joining a G5 conference severely limits our ceiling each year, much like why BYU left the Mountain West. At least the American has a built in floor higher than what we can get as an independent.

If we could get a Notre Dame type deal with someone where we agree to move all sports but football to the conference and play X amount of games per season, that could be the best of both worlds.

Realistically I could only see the ND type deal for the MAC. CUSA maybe but I doubt they are desperate to get more eyes.
