What would y'all think about closing the football stadium with a dome? With weather being what it is here in the middle of the mountains, there is always a potential risk of losing major games to weather, & since most opponents have a conference schedule, it would be difficult to reschedule those games, leaving us with less opportunities to reach the minimum bowl threshold.

I think you could incorporate much of the structure that already exists, & this also leaves room to add more seating as (hopefully) we continue to grow in attendance.

Let me know your thoughts!

I think it would be a mistake to build the football stadium into a dome. I don't know how you could add one to the current stadium without severely limiting future expansion. Even if it was possible, I don't see the purpose. The type of weather that has cancelled games, like a hurricane, would cancel a game played in a dome.

How many schools play in a dome that isn't also an NFL stadium? I can think of Syracuse but that's it.

I’m assuming you’re asking about the FBS? The FCS has Idaho, South Dakota, NDSU, Idaho St, UNI just to name a few. I hate the idea of a dome.
