What a name...we need to lock these kids down, this is a tremendous class for talent in the Tri-state.

Not sure if this is just pure speculation or if there is some knowledge behind him being a local UC/XU battle:

Quote:Princeton incoming sophomore guard Bowen Hardman may become the latest to be torn between local schools as he's been offered by Xavier, and recently had an unofficial visit to the University of Cincinnati.

Given the way Brannen likes to target local talent, I think we'll see a lot of future recruiting battles between UC and Xavier, even if the player they're going after didn't necessarily start the process by "being torn" between those schools.

One man's opinion, but I won't be surprised if Brannen starts pulling kids that weren't giving UC a look in the recent past, especially some that did consider X. There is great energy around his hiring as many anticipate a fresh, exciting style of play.

Bring a recruit in now and let them eyeball 5th/3rd compared with Cintas; no comparison after the renovation--bigger and better with the feel of an NBA arena in some ways. Varsity Village along with the scale and scope of the entire campus scene now screams MAJOR university environment.

Every student is different--that's how thousands of colleges and universities get populated each year. But Brannen has considerable competitive advantages to sell. And I think he knows how to sell. Bright days ahead.
