I’ll have to agree. You never can tell with new talent and Penny hasn’t had to deal with a lot of big player egos. But I did like what I saw from his 1st year of coaching, so I’m optimistic.

What did you like about his first year? From an outside perspective he took over a senior laden team returning almost all of it's top players and despite that they had no improvement from the previous year.

If you ask me, Penny is still unproven coaching wise. But his first season did nothing to make me think he's going to be a great coach.

Well he has more top 100 kids coming in to one class than Mick got in 13 years at UC, which included recruiting to UC in the Big East.
