This is a big season. Youth will be all over the field. I hope we get through the first four games relatively healthy. There are games on the schedule that are winnable.

I'm divided. One part of me simply wants the better QB there, and I dont care whom that is as long as they maximize the return *this* upcoming season.

But, if the long term payout is a lot better in return for a marginal worse younger QB *this* season, I can see that. But only for a fairly small delta for this year.

The only way I am unabashedly signed onto to your 'younger guy this year' is *if* the younger guy is actually better than the Harvard transfer.

Agree completely, but Greene showed me enough promise last year to warrant meaningful playing time, even if it's as the backup. Bloomgren wouldn't have redshirted him if he didn't see something he liked. If we're getting blown out, or if we're way ahead in any of these games, Greene needs to be inserted.

You never know what could happen. He could develop into next season's starter, preventing Bloomgren from having to bring in another grad transfer. At the least, playing him builds depth.

I don't want our head coach to muck up this quarterback situation like the last coach. The QB of the future may already be on the roster, but we wouldn't know unless he gets playing time.

We hired a guy to make this judgement for us. His name is Bloomgren. I will be interested to see who he chooses and why.

Winning now vs. (maybe) winning more later. I am a win now guy. I don't care much if he does it with the 2020 presumed QB or a one and done guy or the fifth year senior water boy There are pluses to winning that won't happen if we treat 2019 as one long practice. Recruiting pluses. Fund raising pluses. Attendance pluses.

Win. That is why we play.
