Come on Eeyore, 3/5 of the likely starters are pretty much sitting out Spring Ball. You’ll get your chance in August.

OLine = no worries. Rarely look good in spring and with some starters sitting shouldn't expect much. One of those 3 won't start.

Childers, lot of grief on this board on him and understandably so, but the SOB did LEAD this team to a MAC title. It wasn't pretty and many times ugly. He does have more than some redeeming qualities.

It would really be perfect for everyone if Childers leading the squad to a MAC Championship comeback is our lasting memory of him. Let Bowers, the almost guaranteed superior QB come in and take the job and let Childers be thought of fondly in NIU lore.

One shining performance in Childers' career doesn't do it for me. Good luck to Bowers if he comes in and takes the job.

Said this before several times, worth repeating now. If Bowers evolves into #1, Huskies will need an experienced #2. Recall recent season Northern went through -- how many? -- 3 or 4 qbs. I forget now which season (2016?). But ---- happens.

On another note, glad to see Brinkman looking good. He caught several passes in traffic in that MACC, got some extra yardage, held onto the ball.
