Well, that's a pretty subjective statement huh? I'm sure his kids love him as much as McCains kids loved their dad.

And just how long does one have to remain dead before he becomes fair game? Forever? 10 years? A year? I vote for a year, the same length of time widow women were supposed to dress in black back in the day.

Given that McCain was deeply involved in attempting to unseat a duly elected POTUS which part of him is that you now consider heroic? By some accounts the man manged to stay alive as a POW through means that some might call treasonous. Then he took that experience and cashed in on it politically like any good opportunist would.

So, what is it that you liked about him so much?
