Our class comes no where close to comparing to that. Lets say Wiseman puts up 15 and 10 in 30 minutes (Outstanding numbers for a freshmen).

Not sure what your point is. 2 or 3 double-digit scorers on a team is plenty, if the right pieces are around them.

I think the only reason Duke came into this thread is because the OP says it never happens that freshmen carry a team, and it's the obvious example.

If a #1 recruiting class at Duke can carry them to #1 in the country, is it far-fetched to think a top 15 recruiting class can get us back in the tourney? OP acts like we take a step back next year and we simply won't.

I see it like this...

Offensively I don't think we improve unless our existing players improve.

Even if we land Watford...I see Watford replacing Davenports numbers and Wiseman not quite reaching Martins numbers and I will give DJ and Malcom the same production as Parks, Thorton and Brewton with the same minutes.

We will still be short offensively...The team next year will need to improve greatly on the defensive end of the floor to be effective.

I am not saying we will not be a better team...But I don't think we improve offensively unless existing players improve their efficiency and turnovers.

Why do we need to improve offensively next year? We average more points than any team in our league now. What we need is improvement on the defense and we will get it with better bigs to block shots and rebound. I feel confident we will make it to the Big Dance next year with a decent seed - then anything is possible.

Averages can be misleading

We score the most points because we average the most possessions...UVA is much more efficient than us offensively even though they score less points.
