Has your wife asked? Nothing wrong with asking. Many of the buildings at Rice have people's names on them. Somebody asked, somebody gave. That's how it works. I'm not even sure where you're coming from here, because I know you know these buildings aren't just named after people for the sake of honoring them - those people or their estates paid for the honor.

And can you appreciate any possible difference from an ethical/conflict standpoint when you compare my wife and her friend to Clarence Thomas and a Republican operative? Good grief.
