Or a polity that doesn’t automatically associate a vote for an individual as a vote for a political party overall and as a vote for a political party above all else as has been evidenced here in this sub-portion of the thread by some.

The inability of people to draw distinctions between support for an individual candidate as automatically denoting support for a political party across a much wider geographic swath, or simply designating support exclusively for a party sadly appears endemic at the macro scale.

Indoctrination is near complete... voting is all about choosing Red Team or Blue Team. Straight-ticket voting was once regarded as the last resort of the uninformed voter, now an increasing number of voters believe it’s the right thing to do.

My guess is that we’ve got some straight ticket voters on the Quad.
