It's pretty common for those NOW on the losing end of a situation to complain about 'two wrongs' and all... and how 'the other side' needs to be the ones to let go of the advantage that they have just now gotten back after perhaps years of disadvantage under the same unenforced rules. As I've said un numerous similar situations, it's ridiculous to even ask. At best what can be done is to recognize that it happened and make plans that as of some future date, this will no longer be the case.... something in the rules or enforcement will change... and of course, whomever is making that suggestion has no doubt 'rigged' the system for themselves/their priorities.

For starters, I accused Tanq of being similar to a bad manager, and not being an ******* himself.

Second, Tanq accused me of lecturing people in my first post, which is hardly plausible given that I was speaking about a National Review article to which Tanq had only commented "Heh... Pearl Harbor Day..."

Third, if you care about the constructive nature of my response to Tanq's post accusing me of lecturing him, what do you think your comment here does? Enhances that constructive nature?

Finally, I was NOT the one who brought up past misdeeds - that was Tanq, who did so to justify the current situation being one that others should not complain about. Ironically, I echoed your bolded comments in my reply to Tanq. Who cares about the past? We need to look forward and find a solution to the here and now. I think, in this instance, Tanq does not believe there is an issue to be fixed.
