That one didnt become a foundational national touchstone like the 10 year old abortion story.

The amazing thing is the virality of a piece when it fits right in to a point of view.

And, I dont blame the people who might post it from an online news source. The other very sad amazing thing is the speed and depth that the MSM hit this up with zero corroboration.

Not surprised though.

One may not like Orange Man for a lot of worthwhile rationales, but he has exposed the media as a whole for what it is. Case in point on what could be noted as 'gross negligence' in a media sense with this particular story about the 10 year old Ohio abortion saga.

But part of the MSM actually followed up on the story and commented on the flimsy nature of the accusation and the lack of evidence.

The issue is of virality via social media, which is not a partisan problem - conservatives and liberals fall for false reports on social media regularly.

Interesting twist, though. Check out the update on the WashPo article...

I am happy there was a follow up. The problem is that a follow up should have never been needed.
