93, earlier in our conversation I noted that doctors in an article were saying that they had no problem, but they were concerned that others had problems... you somewhat castigated me saying 'you expect them to admit it'?? That said, I've also said all along that people can be 'concerned' about anything.,,, but those concerns fall apart when you look at the facts.

These are doctors after all, not lawyers. I'd be much more interested in what a risk manager for a woman's hospital is advising.

As to how many OBs you know... for all I know you ARE one... but even if you knew 30 of them, that would still be a small fraction of the number in the state, and I doubt you know 'the minds' of more than a few.

As I have repeatedly said, the only thing that has changed in doctors calculus is 'to whom the rules apply'... and not remotely 'what they're supposed to do'. All of this 'gray area' you keep mentioning is there REGARDLESS of the cut-off date. There are still ectopic pregnancies, there are still cesarean ectopic pregnancies. Doctors have been making those calls for decades, and that hasn't changed.

Similarly, it has been a criminal offense to ignore the cut-off and abort a baby for years now... and it has ALWAYS been a crime to 'claim' but not be able to justify a 'risk of life' that resulted in an abortion for a woman that didn't want an abortion.

Let's stop dancing around some wild specifics which NEITHER of us are qualified to debate... and simply look at the realities. The only thing that has changed is that elective abortions have a much much shorter window now. The 'crime' of ignoring that window without a threat of life (or being second guessed) has ALWAYS been in place.
