OO, I don’t think you’ve actually been listening then, for two reasons.

1) I’ve never had an issue with defining a fertilized egg as human.

2) I’ve spoken multiple times about why I don’t think calling a fertilized egg a child makes sense to me, and the same kind of thinking applies to defining it as alive. I don’t think this way so that I can justify a stance on abortion - you’ll have to take my word for that.

I can understand why someone would define life as beginning at fertilization. I disagree with that, primarily due to multiple factors - from the lack of any defining characteristics of a person (organs, cognition, human-looking features) to the chance that a fertilized egg might not even develop into an embryo.
