It doesn't matter... he may have just meant that he wants Republicans to focus on the economy before anything else. It's weird that he mentioned gay rights as are those really in anybody's crosshairs? Whatever.... moving on.

I think there are people who want to give them more... some in excess of what many other have... I think there are people who want to give them less... less than what many others have. I wouldn't group trans issues with gay rights, but I know there is lots of cross-over support under the LGBTQ+ banner... I think OO, Numbers and I want to give them true equality (because it doesn't matter whom they 'love' to citizenship or rights).

Clearly LGBTQ+ issues are in the conversation.... and I think numbers simply simplified this to 'gay rights'.... and yes... most of us think the economy is vastly more pressing and important... because it impacts 100% of us, including LGBTQ+ persons. It's not an issue of 'more or less'... and more of a 'how do you define 'fair'? Especially when society has recognized two genders and other such things for centuries... and much of society has been built around the definitions.... and now we're being pushed not only to accept 'non-binary' definitions, but to 'undo' much of society... including often shaming those who still use him and her pronouns.
