I am sure black women were not given equal consideration for SCOTUS in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. heck, they couldn't even vote until 1920. But let's make up for that by excluding everybody now who isn't a black female. Yeah, that will even the slate. A black woman ignored in 1879 versus a white man ignored in 2022. Two wrongs make a right. This is standard modern Democratic philosophy.

Biden's problem was announcing that he was going to pick a black female. Now it appears (rightly so) to be exclusionary of > 90% of the population. Nobody would have had a problem with it if he didn't mention his plan and ended up picking a black female justice.

Of course, he announced it in a namby-pamby attempt to generate votes. Just like Reagan did in 1980. Long list of politicians on both sides of the aisle making craven campaign promises that don't pass the sniff test.

Also... I always love when affirmative action (you know, trying to make sure POC get a chance to get into good schools) gets compared to 1930's Germany.

Both are, at their core, are cases of racial exclusion and race-based determinism. Are they not?

Based on this comparison, 1930s Germany and the current Republican party are comparable.

At their core, both are political movements influenced by economic anxiety.

Let's ignore all of the other, incredibly important characteristics of Nazism in 1930s Germany and throw the weight of that accusation onto anything that shares a thread of similarity to one of the core issues with Nazi Germany.

I mean, NASA and the Third Reich aren't that dissimilar. At their core, they both held rocket technology in high regard and even employed some of the same people!
