In a color blind, non-racist viewpoint one would see the truth in your last clause. Edited to add: merely ‘picking’ such a person isn’t the issue. Picking someone *because* of is. Dedicating a selection based on race and sex is.

But even in this instance, the person is going to be picked because of their qualifications - it’s not like any random black woman is going to be selected.

It is an attribute being considered, but not the sole defining one.

You keep trying to skip over the dispositive qualifications of race and sex.

Given your stance above, would you be okay with a choice of the most qualified person, but if and only if they are white and male? That is precisely the concept that you are so ardently defending if you haven’t noticed.
