If they pulled the Kavanaugh witch hunt stuff, they would lose Garland. And if they went on the level for Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, who knows, maybe it would catch on. Like you. I'm skeptical, but at least they would have some considerable incentive.

And Garland for Ginsburg would move the court to the right. Heck, Chairman Mao for Ginsburg would move the court right.

Once they got Garland on the court, the deal would be off. That's like paying a contractor in full before he starts the work.

But you are right - Garland for Ginsburg is still a shift to the right.
