but really, I used to love the Alfriend Chemistry Building back in my day... they had the cleanest toilets to drop a deuce (on the upper floors)

My old roommate nearly cost ODU all federal funding the first year that building opened. He accidentally broke quarantine on a parasitic plant he was researching. This plant’s favorite host was tobacco. He was growing it and took pictures of it’s life cycle. When done with each plant he’d wash the plants off including, the parasite, into drains. 2 issues. 1) the soil he washed off clogged a 14 inch ceramic pipe necessitating repairs in a 9 month old building. 2) most importantly, the parasite plant’s seeds were in the soil. Breaking quarantine. Tobacco was/is a huge industry this parasite if loose could have severely damaged that industry. US officials were all over the building for many days. ODU had to do a lot of butt kissing (unofficially and completely backdoor) to keep research work. He then follows that up clogging our drain with a massive duece that night. Landlord had to call plumber. The teasing we gave him lasted for months.
