I would say that you need to find better sources then. I graduated in 2015 in always felt safe when I was at ODU. I do agree they need to add lighting but the lighting got better while I was a student there, and I would assume it's gotten better since. The only real "problem" area right now I'd say is along Killam Ave late at night.

I think that one thing that'll help is them getting the Health Building and that grocery store area finished up, cause that area (and killam) were the spots I was most wary of when walking at night.
