What I love about the OL signees is there upside. Three were highly recruited by P5 schools. Eaton had a lot of offers. Rewolinski was recruited late by Syracuse (tried to poach him). Smith had a lot of P5 offers and was going to sign with Indiana.

And we need to see how Dimitri Douglas works out. He obviously was a MSU signee and player.

Eventually this type of recruiting will pay off. As folks are fond of saying: "Talent wins."

TALENT WINS! You nailed it! 17 3 star recruits in this 2020 class, and somehow we weren't in the top 5 in the MAC! E Mich football has never to my knowledge recruited this well!

I don't take these star rankings too seriously (247sports has a lot of 'grade inflation.)

THAT SAID, I look at individual recruits and ask is this the type of player we were recruiting 5, 10, or 15 years ago?

There is NO DOUBT in my mind that we have leveled the playing field with a lot of our MAC opponents, something which can not be said of 10 or 20 years ago.

We can legitimately saying that our recruits are at least MAC caliber recruits.

As C.C. has noted, the next class (2021) will be first for which all of the H.S. recruits have been recruited since the SAPC has been completed.
