Jerry was great at UNCW. However, once he left... his career took a sharp decline. In his final 5 years coaching at DePaul, his teams overall were 59-80, and 20-51 (.282) in conference.

He couldn't recruit. The man always has been able to teach D. Answer me this, could it be worse?

Exactly, his weakness at DePaul was recruiting and was made even more apparent that DePaul was in the old Big East which was nose to nose with the ACC in terms of quality teams. After DePaul he went on to be an assistant at Marquette under Buzz Williams and Rodney Terry at Fresno who both had NCAA Tourney teams in his time there. He would be perfect for us right now.
