Yes, if Oklahoma and Texas exit, the Big 12 will cease to be a power conference.

But, why would either leave? Both on the field and in terms of $$$, the Big 12 is doing fine, and neither of those schools would have the power they have in the B1G or PAC or SEC that they have ruling the roost in the Big 12.

And for Oklahoma in particular, Nebraska has to be a cautionary tale. Nebraska's "power" has declined dramatically since joining the B1G. Sooners fans can't help but worry that this would befall them as well.
