If 5-1-2 is the deal the P5 power brokers present you take it now and worry about making the autobid later.

If the power brokers want 512 it will happen regardless. But if I was G5 other than the AAC, I wouldn't want it. It's just a vehicle to allow true separation between the AAC and maybe the MWC from the rest of the G5, and that is a bad development for those conferences.

I don't think the AAC will be the dominant conference above the other "g5" schools.

The question is whether the top G5 schools in any given year compete with the top "p5" schools for the National Championship? The answer is yes.
