I was openly rooting for UCF to get into the playoffs.

If we win out next year, with that brutal schedule, there is no way we don't make the playoffs. The following year, 2020, however...

Austin Peay
Western Michigan
at Miami (Ohio)
at Nebraska

Nebraska might be anywhere between mediocre and great, but the rest of the OOC schedule is quite lacking. The fact that the Austin Peay game was just announced less than 2 months ago is discomforting. What happened? Is there really no one else available and no time left to wait for one to open up? A quick glance at fbschedules.com shows that Syracuse isn't playing anyone the week of the Austin Peay game, and still has 2 open OOC slots for 2020... I'm sure there are others as well. I guess the fact is that few P5 schools want to play us...
