NO, it was not possible to fix the sideline viewing problem. I just happen to know the people at the engineering firm that was hired to do a feasibility study to rectify the problem. Due to the way the structural support was designed, it wasn't possible to remove the rows of seats needed to allow the correct sideline view.

The architect that was hired for the project was a friend of the president and had no previous experience in designing sport venues. They did visit Idaho State but the only thing the same was the look of the Dome, the guts of the ETSU Dome was totally different. The architect many several critical mistakes, some were corrected but the big one, sightline views, no way.
