Big points. If Lynch is in today’s game it would have ended 42-6. Watch NIU in 2018 terms. Not 2012.

Should Notre Dame fans stop watching the Irish since Ball state gave them a tough game last week?

This offense is a long way from putting up big points.

Not really. Nearly every stalled drive comes from Childers missing an easy throw. And not only missing an easy throw, but rarely making a tough throw. There were a few passes the Ball state qb made into super tight coverage. The FSU qb made some of the very same throws last week. Childers almost never sneaks a ball into a wrs hands just barely out of the dbs reach. He makes some average throws and that’s why his YPA is so incredibly low at just over 4 yards.

So when I say close, I mean Childers just first not missing some easy throws that cause 2nd and 3 to be 2nd and 10. But maybe making a tough completion that almost all the starting FBS qbs make. If he takes that step the offense will jump up in points.

Childers is a big reason NIU is 3-0 right now. He put the team on his back when it counted at EMU. NiU does not have a ton of offensive talent, need to upgrade skilled positions in next few years
We must've been watching different games because I see much of the team carrying Childers. That said, he is improving every game but not nearly as quick as what we'd expect from an FBS QB.

That's how I saw the game as well. It sure seems like 24 is our maximum scoring capacity unless playing someone really bad.
