The bolt action?

I’ve only ever hunted using bolt action rifles - no semi-automatics - but that could just have been my father’s preference in hunting rifle. The only semi-automatic rifle we used was a .22 for target practice or going after small rodents like armadillos.

Do you really think all deer rifles are bolt action? Just because that is the way you have hunted doesnt make it all universally inclusive, does it?

By the way the deer rifle is used for feral hog. Kind of fing stupid to run across an enraged 400 lb sow with a bolt action. Maybe that is just me. Or javelinas in the brush.

Your conversation focused on using semi-autos for deer hunting, when that isn’t the only type of rifle that can be used. So I pointed out that the rate of fire could be different if you use a bolt-action rifle for deer hunting.

I am pointing out that semis are used quite fking often, probably more than bolties. But your position changes all that magically.
