RE: Film Noir Discussion Thread
Friday will be a great opportunity to see a few of the greatest films ever made. TCM will be airing three of my Top 25 best films ever...

11:15am central- Double Indemnity a great film noir starring Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray, and featuring a screenplay written by my favorite writer, Raymond Chandler.

3:00pm central- Citizen Kane Arguably the greatest film ever. Enough said.

5:15pm central- The Locket a great film noir thriller that features Robert Mitchum. This under rated noir is much darker then probably ever film of it's day, and has more in common visually with modern thrillers. The Locket is a cerebral plot driven film propelled by flashbacks within flashbacks. It is a must see, even if you don't normally like classic movies. If it were re-released today, it would top the box office. This film was seventy years ahead of it's time.
