Lance isn’t going to do press conferences post game and decide to discuss trade tariffs, bathroom bills, North Korea, or Stormy Daniels.

JK needs to grow a pair and make the damn hire and quit worrying about which political side of the isle someone may be on. Quit folding to political pressure and have a backbone. Make the hire!

You are not going to make everyone happy. That’s the nature of being in charge. Make the decision based upon what’s relevant to the position being hired. The political views of Lance Berkman should have zero to do with the baseball hire.

I imagine JK knows that he can't make everyone happy - do we honestly think he isn't aware of that? We need to have an AD that recognizes that he should at least attempt to not burn major bridges when possible. So say, if he decided to hire someone with a rather vocal opposition, he would try and discuss the issue with the opposition ahead of time and mediate some sort of truce.

In the end, we don't have any idea what JK is thinking and what he is doing behind the scenes. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves that JK is not hiring Lance because of the opposition we've heard about.
