I think that’s THE best use of Lance’s talent. Being able to say “I get to learn from Lance Berkman and Andy Pettitte” is HUGE for the kids I’ve spoken to.

Sure I agree with that. What I meant was do we want Lance driving around doing the actual recruiting work itself.

It would be nice if he did get out and recruit. Coach Graham hasn’t recruited in years. I would bet some kids we’ve missed out on may have been swayed by having a Hall of Famer actually speaking to them.

If Berkman gets the job he will have to recruit. When we were winning most (65%) of the recruiting was done by Mike Taylor. The remaining 35% was done by David Pierce. Ever since they left, recruiting had gone drastically downhill.

Play on the field has followed suit.
