It effects other schools who have them on their schedule in the fall of 2019. When a school closes that have sports? It disrupts other schools athletics when another school closes.
They are closing this spring. It's Feb. You have 7 month plus to find another football game.

Green Mountain College has Cross Country (m/w), Soccer (m/w), Basketball (m/w), and Volleyball (w). That's it. In this case, the closing has no effect whatsoever on Cross Country and those other games are probably already replaced.
Armageddon averted?
