Plus, the team would not have to go through the 7 year wait either. Since Corpus Christie ia already D1. When UTRGV named changed with the merger, they were also to be able to compete in post season play. LIU-Post's football team next year under LIU-Brooklyn would be able to go to the FCS playoffs next year if they win the NEC. LIU-Post made it to the playoffs in D2 this year. They are usually a very good team.
