Here's a bit on him after his freshman year. I'm not sure if it was injuries or just the competition that caused him to not play much the next three years. My guess is without any inside information is that he could be like a Van Green or Dylan Jones (both Ivy League transfers), and certainly help with our depth for next year. The good news is he does appear to be a true PG, and we do have a need there. But he'd probably be backing up both Adams and Mullins (and you also have Moore and the incoming freshman as guards).

Assuming we haven't lost anybody else and Owen is not on scholarship, we have one open spot still. And we really need another big IMO unless one of the two incoming freshmen posts can immediately contribute.

That article mentioned competition with Chambers and Aiken ... and that Harvard would be opening its 2016-17 season vs Stanford (in Shanghai, China, BTW!) ... so I looked up the box score:

Stanford beat the Crimson by 10, 80-70. Aiken was Harvard's leading scorer: 21 points in 31 minutes. Chambers was next (12 points/28 minutes). McCarthy played only 2 minutes, with his only stat being a personal foul.
