I think the game has the potential to be close, but I don’t see us losing this game. We’re in for a long season if we don’t win this game. Schedule is too tough to drop this one.

I'm not sure how you are calling this schedule a tough one. Four of our opponents are in the bottom eleven teams of the Orlando Sentinel FBS countdown. Add VMI and Liberty to those four and we have almost instant bowl eligibility. Yes, we play VA Tech, Marshall and FAU -- and they are tough, but this is not a tough schedule. Just the opposite.

This is my take on the games:

LU - tough game/should win (1-0)
FIU - tough game/should win bc home (2-0)
UNCC - win (3-0)
VT- loss (3-1)
ECU - loss bc on road (3-2)
FAU - loss bc on road and tough game (3-3)
Marshall - loss (3-4)
WKU - loss (3-5)
Middle - loss (3-6)
NTX - win (4-6)
VMI - win (5-6)
Rice - win (6-6)

We can’t afford to lose the LU game.
