Even that the east coast viewers are sleeping when the west coast plays so I don't know if it is really worth it now that we have 12 playing well. Something like a Boise State / Army FB only deal "might" be a good scenario, but even with Army you don't get the Army/Navy game with the conference deal anyway so what is the point.

I'd like to see two basketball schools get added just to finish out the quality inventory in the league. VCU and St. Louis would be pretty good additions, IMO. New markets and good support.

For ODU, Umass, etc. They all need to really show something amazing and maybe get on a 5 year winning streak. None of them would add to the TV deal and we would be going passed 12 for no reason. If we are looking at the future, I do think ODU is going to leave Umass in the dust. They already sell out a smaller stadium every single game. They are in more of the AAC footprint too.

If we're going to go to 16, I like the idea of the western wing of AFA, BYU, BSU, and CSU (all football only).

But to be honest, the best move the American can make is getting Cincinnati and ECU back to form. We don't really need to expand just to expand.

ODU, UMass, USM, make sense as replacements only

How can someone in the college football capital of the world not bring up the team in their town getting a new stadium? Birmingham is the #1 TV market for college football. Adding UAB, and their recent dedication to football, to the AAC should help discussions.

The whole markets for specific sports arguments is extremely overblown. No offense to you or your fandom, but that market is only #1 because of Auburn and Alabama...no one in the cares about UAB.
