I just don't see how we can sell kids Rice over a school like Northwestern, which makes getting those high 3* recruits difficult. Just gotta find under the radar players and hope the likes of Stanford and Northwestern don't notice them.

Well, as great as it would be to be competitive with P5 programs in recruiting, I agree with you that it ain't happening. Not yet at least. For starters, I'd like to see us at least be near the top of CUSA on a consistent basis, and we're not even there yet.

Agree. But we just came out of a serious 2 season slump. And this past season we were, arguably, one of the worst teams in Div. 1. I think most of us that have been following our new coach have a lot of hope that we will see big progress in the program. But to the average recruit that pays any attention at all, we aren't worth taking a chance on... yet. If we look lots better on the field this season and win 4-6 games and maybe play some of the big guys close, the next season we might attract some of those 3* recruits that are only using us as a safety choice now.
